Our research interests include i) the role of the bHLH transcription factor TWIST1 in epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) phenotypes in GBM, ii) microfluidic platforms for pre-clinical drug screening in patient derived samples, iii) large animal GBM models, iv) intra-tumor molecular heterogeneity v) pre- analytic variables and MGMT promoter methylation vi) aging and glioma malignancy and vii) brain metastasis biology.
